IPOH, Nov 24 ― The Perak state assembly sitting today passed the State Budget 2016 after it was debated for five days by the Barisan Nasional and opposition assemblymen.

The assembly also passed the Wakaf (Perak) Enactment 2015, the Mineral (Perak) Enactment 2015, the National Forestry Act Enactment (Application) 1985 (Amendment) 2015.

Also approved was the 2016 Development Fund amounting to RM397,438,000.

The sitting was then adjourned to a date that has yet to be fixed by Speaker Datuk Seri S.K. Devamany.

In the meantime, all the Perak assemblymen unanimously agreed to postpone the Perak Coastal Management and Water Board Enactment 2015 after being debated by eight state assemblymen, so as to be refined further. ― Bernama
