PETALING JAYA, Oct 25 — Police are expected to complete their investigations into the murder of 15-year-old Ng Yuk Tim by next week.

According to The Star, at a press conference today, Selangor police chief Senior Deputy Commissioner Datuk Mohd Shukri Dahlan said police have accepted the suspect’s statement. He said police will hold the suspect in remand until October 29 and are making sure that they have all the bases covered.

He added police are confident the suspect acted alone when committing the murder and later dumping Ng at Jalan Kebun Nenas near Kota Kemuning in Shah Alam.

Police earlier disclosed that the body of Ng Yuk Tim was found stuffed into a green suitcase, clad in a T-shirt and underwear but there were no signs of sexual abuse.

According to Selangor deputy police chief Deputy Commissioner Datuk Abdul Rahim Jaafar, a post mortem conducted at the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) showed that Ng died of severe head injuries caused by three heavy blows to the head. There was no evidence to suggest she was raped.

Her body bore no post-mortem injuries from placing her into the suitcase, he added.
