KUANTAN, Oct 24 — The Prime Minister’s wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor heads a list of 644 honours recipients in conjunction with the 83rd birthday of Sultan Ahmad Shah of Pahang today.  

She will be conferred the Pahang state’s prestigious honour, the Darjah Kerabat Seri Indera Mahkota Pahang Yang Amat Dihormati Kelas Pertama (DK) (Most Esteemed Royal Family Order of Pahang - First Class).

Fourteen people will receive the Darjah Sri Sultan Ahmad Shah Pahang (SSAP) which carries the title “Datuk Seri”. 

Heading the list of SSAP recipients are Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Tan Sri Joseph Kurup; Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Rohani Abdul Karim and Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Minister Datuk Hasan Malek.  

Also conferred the SSAP are Human Resource Minister Datuk Richard Riot Anak Jaem, Federal Court Judge Datin Paduka Zaleha Zahari and Federal Territories Ministry secretary-general Adnan Md Ikhsan.

Other recipients of the SSAP are Immigration Department director-general Datuk Alias Ahmad, Solicitor-General Datuk Idrus Harun, Federal Police (Bukit Aman) special branch director Datuk Syed Ismail Syed Azizan, Bukit Aman management department director Datuk Wira Mortadza Nazarene, Kuantan Umno deputy chief Datuk Ab Hamid Mohd Nazahar, Felda Foundation managing director/chief executive officer Datuk Dr Emel Faizal Mohd Mokhtar, Tabung Haji chief operating officer Datuk Kamarudin Mat Ali and Kelantan Solid Waste Management and Public Cleansing Corporation director Afandi Hamzah.        

Five people will receive the Darjah Sri Indera Mahkota Pahang (SIMP) which carries the title “Datuk”.

They are Pahang Public Works Department director, Datuk Rosman Yahya, Pahang State Development director Datuk Dzul-Kifly Osman, Bursa Malaysia Berhad chief executive officer Datuk Tajuddin Atan.

Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Medical Centre Heart and Lung Centre head Prof Datuk Mohd Ramzisham Abdul Rahman and Universiti Kuala Lumpur chairman cum pro-chancellor Datuk Dr Adham Baba.

Thirteen others will receive the Darjah Sultan Ahmad Shah Pahang (DSAP) which also carries the title “Datuk”.

Among them are Dewan Rakyat Deputy Speaker Datuk Ismail Mohamed Said, Deputy Human Resource Minister Datuk Ismail Abd Muttalib, Paya Besar MP Datuk Abdul Manan Ismail, National Archives director-general Daresah Ismail.

Malaysian Defence Advisor Major-General Datuk Pahlawan Mohd Razif Idrus, Prime Minister’s Department Public Private Cooperation Unit (Ukas) deputy director-general Tan Yew Chong, Pahang Health director Dr Norhizan Ismail.

Also awarded the DSAP are Tenaga Nasional Berhad senior general manager Suhaimi Ali Hanafiah, Telekom Malaysia vice-president Mohd Rais Azhar and SIRIM Berhad president and chief executive officer Dr Zainal Abidin Mohd Yusof.             

Ninety people will be conferred the Darjah Indera Mahkota Pahang (DIMP) which also carries the title “Datuk”.     

Among the recipients are Pahang State Health, Human Resources and Special Functions Committee chairman Norol Azali Sulaiman, Pahang State Islamic Propagation and Special Functions Committee chairman Syed Ibrahim Syed Ahmad.  

Lepar State Assemblyman Mohd Shohaimi Jusoh, Kemayan State Assemblyman Mohd Fadil Osman, Jengka State Assemblyman, Wan Salman Wan Ismail, Pulau Manis State Assemblyman Khairuddin Mahmud.

Pahang CID chief Mohd Zakaria Ahmad, Communication and Multimedia Ministry Human Resource Management Department secretary, Abdul Rahman Mohamad.

Also awarded the DIMP are Pahang Menteri Besar special officer R. Goonasekaran, Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital Obstetrics and Gynaecology Specialist Dr Rozihan Ismail, Bentong Prison Complex deputy prisons commissioner Abdul Aziz Abdul Razak, Universiti Malaysia Pahang Student Affairs and Alumni Department deputy vice-chancellor, Yuserrie Zainuddin, Utusan Malaysia editor, Mohd Hassan Mohammed Noor and Kosmo editor, Baharom Mahusin. 

Sultan Ahmad Shah will also confer the Darjah Setia Ahmad Shah Pahang (SAP) to 34 recipients, the Darjah Setia Mahkota Pahang (SMP) to 41 people, the Ahli Ahmad Shah Pahang (AAP) to 49 people and Ahli Mahkota Pahang (AMP) to 146 recipients.

Apart from that, 55 people will also be awarded the Pingat Khidmat Cemerlang (PKC), the Pingat Gagah Perwira to two recipients, Pingat Kelakuan Terpuji (PKT) to 107 recipients while 87 people will receive the Pingat Jasa Kebaktian (PJK).

The investiture ceremony will be held at Balairung Sri of Istana Abu Bakar, Pekan at 9am today. — Bernama
