KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 6 — TGV Cinemas and Sharp Electronics Malaysia have entered a partnership to upgrade the movie-going experience for cinemagoers at all TGV theatres nationwide.

The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the two brands at TGV Cinemas Sunway Velocity Mall to mark the collaboration.

The partnership was officiated today by TGV Cinemas chief executive officer Tan Lay Han and Sharp Malaysia managing director Ting Yang Chung who unveiled a broad range of benefits to their customers.

Tan said he is delighted to partner with Sharp which shares the same value as TGV when it comes to delivering the best customer experience and providing premium entertainment in and out of the home.

“As part of this partnership, we will be launching an exclusive line-up of Sharp products on their e-shop where customers are entitled to complimentary movie tickets upon purchase of Sharp products.

“TGV Movie Club members will also stand a chance to walk away with Sharp Aquos 60-inch TV with a minimum purchase of four movie tickets.”

Speaking about the partnership, Ting said he hopes the collaboration will create an environment to make the cinemas feel like home for the movie-goers.

“We are confident this is achievable with Sharp's products alongside the comfort provided by our prestigious partner, TGV.

“We hope this partnership would be able to provide Malaysians with an unrivalled entertainment experience.”

Ting said Sharp will be giving away up to 5,000 pieces of complimentary movie passes throughout the year to individuals who register for Sharp's Cocoro Life membership.

“We will be enriching the cinema foyer experience with Sharp LED TVs, sound bars and activities at all TGV cinemas.

“There will also be air purifiers installed at TGV Cinemas' foyers to ensure that customers can comfortably enjoy clean air like in their homes.”

Sharp will also be setting up a lifestyle store at TGV Central I-City as part of the partnership.
