KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 21 — Following rapper Kanye West’s split with Adidas in February, many sneaker fans have speculated what a ‘Yeezy-less’ collection would look like.

Yesterday (December 20), the first visuals of Adidas’ V2 sneakers without the Yeezy branding were released on social media.

Featured in a grey ‘granite’ and olive green colourway, the sneakers look identical to the first versions of the V2s, except for the absent Yeezy logo.

The shoes continue to feature the ‘SPLY-350’ text which Adidas trademarked to use in future releases.

Adidas is set to release the new versions of the shoe in January 2023, using West’s designs in its upcoming sneakers minus the Yeezy branding.

Online users commented that the exclusion of the Yeezy logo will not remove West’s stained reputation on the line of sneakers.

“If Ye is behind it, I don’t want them.” one user wrote.

The German sportswear manufacturer cut its partnership with West in October following the rapper’s anti-Semitic comments and anti-Jewish hate speech on social media and interviews.

West has reportedly lost over RM8 billion after being dropped by Adidas, Gap and French luxury house Balenciaga.

This has not changed West’s rants as he recently explained why he ‘liked Hitler’ during an interview on Alex Jone’s podcast, Infowars on December 1.
