KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 14 — Heineken kicked off its Refresh Your Music, Refresh Your Nights campaign in Asia with a concert by electronic duo, The Chainsmokers.

They were joined by local performers Yunohoo and NYK in Malaysia, and Thu Minh and Karik in Vietnam.

For the Malaysian stop, the concert was held on December 9 at Resorts World Genting with female rapper Yunohoo providing the opening act where she sang her own numbers such as Kaalam, AV and Rani.

She ended her appearance with her rendition of The Chainsmokers’ hit song Don't Let Me Down.

The night continued with a performance by Penangite NYK who sang songs like Daylight, Faded and Pretty Burn, before performing The Chainsmokers’ song, Something Just Like This.

The star of the event — The Chainsmokers — capped the evening by performing their chart topping hits much to the delight of their adoring fans.

Heineken brand director Rajeev Sathyesh said the Refresh Your Music, Refresh Your Nights campaign was to echo Heineken’s belief that life tastes better with an open mind, regardless of social standings or music preferences.

“The fans' incredible energy and willingness to break out of their music bubbles affirmed our belief that music does transcend all boundaries,” he said.

Heineken Malaysia Berhad marketing director Willemijn Sneep said response from the concert goers showed they are ready to expand their horizons musically, cultivate new relationships, and create new memories worthy of a lifetime.

“The evening with The Chainsmokers and our local artists was something never seen before and definitely one for the books,” he added.
