TOKYO, Feb 16 — The best hubs for airport dining are in Asia and Europe, according to a newly released ranking.
In the 2018 International Airport Dining Scorecard, airports in Asia take up the top four slots, with Narita International Airport named the overall winner for its authentic, affordable Japanese eats — yakitori, sushi, udon and tonkatsu.
“Narita’s high quality and low prices give it an edge over its contemporaries,” reads the report.
The report was prepared by RewardExpert, which helps flyers optimize their reward miles and frequent flyer points when booking flights.
For the ranking, researchers looked at quality, price and cuisine diversity using data from Yelp, TripAdvisor, Zagat and JD Power rankings.
Rounding out the top five spots are Taoyuan International Airport in Taipei, Hong Kong International Airport, Changi Airport in Singapore and Amsterdam Airport Schipol.
The balance of the list is taken up by European hubs, while the lone representative for North America is Canada’s Toronto Pearson International Airport.
