KUALA LUMPUR, May 11 — Cinnamon Group won big at the 2023/2024 HAPA Awards Malaysia Series last night — scooping up 15 awards — for Nadodi, Natalina, Aliyaa, Kikubari and Bocado.

Nadodi, which champions Indian fine cuisine, was crowned Restaurant of the Year. The restaurant also picked up an award in the Best Service Excellence category.

Natalina's Stefano La Penna was honoured as Chef of the Year: King of Western Cuisine category. For Aliyaa's Sivarajah Suppiah, he picked up the Chef of the Year: King of Asian Cuisine award.

Under the Recognised Chef of the Year: King of Western Cuisine category, chefs from Kikubari and Bocado won accolades. This included Kikubari's Sean Thu and Bocado's Ignasi Prats.

Italian restaurant Natalina also scooped up the Best Restaurant award for Italian cuisine. Sri Lankan establishment Aliyaa was awarded Best Restaurant for the Casual Dining category.

French-Japanese restaurant Kikubari was honoured with the Recommended Fine Casual Dining award. For Bocado, they picked up the Best Restaurant award for Spanish Cuisine and Best Service Excellence award.

Recognising the hardships the F&B industry had to endure during the Covid-19 pandemic, HAPA Awards Malaysian Series' theme was celebrating resilience and excellence in hospitality and tourism.

In a statement issued by Cinnamon Group, they said: "These awards are a testament to Cinnamon Group's commitment to providing the best cuisine and service to their loyal diners."
