MADRID, Aug 20 — Football fan Justin Bieber may have trained with Barcelona and Chelsea in the past, but it looks like he may be joining Real Madrid — on the silver screen at least.
According to The Mirror, producers of a film about the Galacticos are reportedly courting Bieber for the role of a young footballer who becomes an overnight sensation and is asked to join the Spanish giants.
The film, which is a reboot of the Goal! franchise, will also feature Cristiano Ronaldo and other famous footballers, including David Beckham.
The Mirror added that Clint Eastwood is the filmmakers’ first choice to play Bieber’s grandfather.
The new film, with a budget of around £100 million (RM525 million) and backed by Harvey Weinstein, begins shooting in March 2017 and is scheduled for release on Christmas Day 2017.
