BANGKOK, July 12 — Thai prime ministerial candidate Pita Limjaroenrat said today a move by the election commission to seek his disqualification as a lawmaker was unfair as he was given no chance to defend himself.

"For the election commission not to call me in, I don’t think that is fair. The regulation allows me to defend myself. This is a bit rushed. One day before the PM vote, it should not happen,” he told reporters. — Reuters
