SINGAPORE, April 5 — Star Wars Day — May 4 — is going to be a big deal this year at Legoland Malaysia Resort. And we mean really big — as in Millennium Falcon big.
The park will be welcoming the world’s only father and son Lego master builder team to build the largest Lego version of Han Solo’s beloved spaceship
From April 30 to May 2, Daniel and Christopher Steininger will be busy creating the Millennium Falcon using more than 200,000 bricks. Visitors are also invited to help out before the ship is officially unveiled on May 3.
It will be displayed at the park until the end of May and during this time, visitors will receive their own mini Lego version of the Millennium Falcon.
“Celebrating Lego Star Wars Day with guests has always been a huge priority for us,” said Mark Germyn, general manager of Legoland Malaysia Resort. “And this year we decided to go all out with The Lego Group to bring many great activities for Star Wars fans.”

Other activities around that time include an Imperial March by Stormtroopers, led by Darth Vader, along with a variety of other Star Wars characters, on May 7 and 8. More than 90 Star Wars costumers from the 501st Legion will be taking part.
Visitors can have their photos taken at the Lego Star Wars photo walls, or can also check out the creations of the 99 finalists of the Lego My Own Creation competition, where participants from Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan submitted their own Star Wars scenes.
In addition, Legoland Malaysia Resort is encouraging parents to partner with their children to build their own Lego Star Wars spaceship creations and upload them on its Facebook page, with the hashtags #masteryourforce and #LEGOStarWarsDay, for a chance to win prizes. — TODAY
