"Leave me alone!” Actor Aaron Aziz fed up of body shaming jibes
KUALA LUMPUR, June 9 — Tired of being constantly body shamed, Singaporean actor Datuk Aaron Aziz may be considering legal action against a portal for belittling him.
This came about after Aaron’s wife Datin Diyana Halik asked her social media followers if they knew of any lawyers to recommend.
"For months my husband has been body shamed. It is good that all this while my husband did not do anything and did not sue those who insulted him,” she wrote.
Diyana shared a screenshot of the now deleted post which the portal had pictures of director Syamsul Yusof and Aaron next to each other with the caption "I have said you are fat but you refuse to listen”.
Questioning the portal’s motive, Diyana said everyone had moved on while it decided to reignite the spat.
"So this time, my husband can’t be oppressed anymore, I can’t take this body shaming no more,” she added.
Aaron questioned why he was being attacked.
On Instagram, the 47-year-old said he is only human.
"Will you all be happy when I have depression or even worse? I am tired... please leave me alone.”
His followers urged him to let the negative comments be.
Instagram user @norlela.ngalim said the more he entertained them, ‘they’ would be happier.
"Brother, relax. Go eat durian with family, they will get heartache to see others happy. If you need to sue, just sue.”
Another user @queenizmz told Aaron to learn from celebrity entrepreneur Datuk Seri Aliff Syukri Kamarzaman.
"He still maintains his cool despite being criticised. Have the attitude don’t know and don’t care.”
It was previously reported that Aaron was dropped from Syamsul’s latest production The Original Gangster due to the actor’s weight issues.
