KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 13 — Hong Kong actress Jacqueline Wong has reemerged as a singer less than a year after announcing she was freelancing.
The 34-year-old took to Instagram to announce her new career move on Sunday evening in a move that surprised many.
Wong, whose public image nosedived after being caught cheating with fellow celebrity Andy Hui in 2019, announced that her single Crown Me would be released on Valentine’s Day.
The song will be released at noon on all digital music platforms, with the video available on YouTube at 8pm.
The Instagram video was also accompanied with a 20-seconds trailer of the video, Jayne Stars reported.
Wong takes on a sexy image where she wears a slip dress with the backdrop of an auction house in the video that announced the music label as Sumthing — a play on words on Wong’s Chinese name which suggests that she may have created her own music label.
Social media users discovered that Wong had deleted most of her old photos on her Instagram page, leaving just 10 photos on her page signalling a fresh start.
Her return follows Hui’s comeback to the entertainment industry last year where he signed with Universal Studio.
