KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 16 — Singer Shila Amzah has apologised to her fans for unintentionally revealing her upper arm when performing during the Gegar Vaganza quarter-finals on Sunday (November 13).
Admitting she was not aware, the 32-year-old explained that the glove she wore had slid down showing her arm, Kosmo reported.
"The glove is made of leather, hence it should fit well. But unknowingly, the opposite occurred,” she said, adding that it was not the original costume she wanted to wear.
"Initially, I wanted to wear another dress but it was changed last minute as it was more suitable with the performing concept,” she explained.
She added that she should have pinned the gloves with the sleeve.
"But it has happened. Technical problems involving the wardrobe is something we sometimes cannot anticipate.”
Social media users were also unhappy with Shila's performance of Survivor which they claimed was overboard and not suitable with her image of wearing the headscarf.
Responding to the criticism, Shila said she had to move a lot when performing the Destiny's Child song.
"This is the quarter-finals performance. I need to go all out,” she added.
She, however, admitted the incident had made her more sensitive and she had learned from the mistake.
