KUALA LUMPUR, November 6 — Malaysia’s famous singer Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza took to the stage last night with her concert, Music of The Soul.
But her performance this time was different as the 43-year-old revealed that she was nervous after being hit with Covid-19 about three months and was still feeling the after effects of it.
"If I fall sick, I don’t want to have a cough or cold. But I had a cough for a long while due to Covid-19 and am still feeling it,” Astro Awani reported her as saying to the media after the first day of her two-day concert yesterday.
"After Covid-19, my breathing was short. It was difficult to sing, let alone shout. "
She revealed that she was working at regaining her stamina and had taken up the sport of Muay Thai.
Sit also said she was grateful to the fans who had turned up for her concert which was to raise funds for the Nurjiwa Foundation, which she founded with her husband, Datuk Seri Khalid Mohamad Jiwa.
She performed 18 songs that included a duet with singer, Datuk Awie.
Meanwhile, in an Instastory, Siti revealed that her mother Siti Salmah Bachik, 70 had been infected with the Covid-19 virus.
"Returned to my room and looked at the handphone and received news that my mother has gotten Covid. I’m relieved after being able to talk to her,” she wrote.
"She has body aches, a mild cough.”
In another post, she wrote that her mother sounded cheerful and thanked everyone for praying for her mother.
She also said in light of the rising cases, she called on fans to carry out self-testing before coming for her concert tonight.
