KUALA LUMPUR, March 6 — 2017 is shaping up to be a busy year for Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh, but will it also include a wedding?
Reporters cornered the Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon star during a March 1 appearance in Hong Kong to ask if she planned to make things official with her French motor sport executive fiancé Datuk Sri Jean Todt whom she has been seeing since 2008.
Unfortunately, it appears that the couple are too busy juggling their many commitments to set a date.
In a clip posted by Hong Kong entertainment site On.cc, Yeoh replied that Todt "is very busy himself. We haven’t seen each other in four weeks.”
When pressed if that means they have no time to prepare for a wedding, she said: "No time! This year will be very busy. I will probably be doing two to three more movies this year. [The wedding] probably won’t happen this year.”
So how about next year?
"I don’t know!” she quipped.
Yeoh is currently filming Star Trek: Discovery, in which she plays a Starfleet Captain.
The series marks the return of Star Trek to scripted television for the first time since Star Trek: Enterprise ended its run in 2005.
Not much is known about Star Trek: Discovery yet — except that it will take place about 10 years before the events of the original 1966 series.
Star Trek: Discovery will be distributed by Netflix in 188 countries outside of the US and Canada when it is released later this year.
