KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 13 — Acclaimed singer-songwriter Yuna Zarai is making her presence felt even more in the music scene.

The home-grown talent has apparently recorded a duet with popular American singer Usher. This was confirmed by Canadian music producer and Verve Music Group chairman David Foster at a press conference at the Majestic Hotel yesterday.

“Yuna recently recorded the duet with Usher. I think that might be the thing that will take her over to the top. I have 100 per cent faith in her,” said Foster, who has been announced as Airasia’s first global brand ambassador for its premium product range.

“She’s a Malaysian, and a beautiful soul. We’re not giving up on her. Our goal is to turn her into a superstar.”

Yuna joined Foster’s stable of artistes in 2013 and the 28-year-old face of Uniqlo x Hana Tajima has already worked with Pharrell Williams, who produced her song “Live Your Life” in 2012.
