Tencent shares plunge over 7pc in HK after US labels it a ‘Chinese military’ firm

HONG KONG, Jan 7 — Shares in technology giant Tencent plummeted more than seven per cent in Hong Kong on Tuesday after it was named by the United States in a list of "Chinese military companies”.

Major battery manufacturer CATL, which was also named on the list, sank 5.2 per cent in Shenzhen. — AFP
