LONDON, May 9 — Bank of England Governor Andrew Bailey said it was "encouraging” that inflation was expected to be close to target in the coming months.

"Inflation has now fallen to just about 3 per cent and we expect it to be close to the target in the coming months. That’s encouraging,” Bailey told a press conference today. — Reuters
