KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 9 — Perak Corporation Bhd (Perak Corp), a subsidiary of the Perak State Development Corporation, has appointed Rosmin Mohamed as group chief executive officer (GCEO) effective today.
The property developer and Lumut Port operator said that Rosmin, 52, has spent over 30 years working in high-profile organisations specialising in project development and management, regional development, and marketing and sales, among others.
"He joined Sime Darby Property Malaysia Bhd in June 2018 as senior vice president for the Malaysia Vision Valley project.
"In November 2020, he was given a new role and responsibility to lead the special economic zone division in Sime Darby Property Bhd, with projects in Johor, Negeri Sembilan, Selangor and Kuala Lumpur,” the company said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.
Prior to that, Rosmin was senior director of the development division at the Northern Corridor Implementation Authority (NCIA), responsible for the positioning, strategic planning and delivery of NCIA’s physical and economic development, together with its marketing and investor relations initiatives.
In September last year, Perak Corp announced the resignation of GCEO and executive director Zainal Iskandar Ismail to pursue other interests. — Bernama
