Kajang deputy police chief Supt Mohamad Nasir Drahman said seven individuals, including employees of the shop, have been questioned so far to assist in the investigation.

"We will summon several other witnesses to provide statements soon,” he said in a statement today.

Media reports yesterday described four masked men, dressed as security guards and wearing gloves, entering the premises on the first floor at 3.17pm.

The suspects smashed glass display cases using a hammer to steal jewellery items and are also believed to have been carrying two pistols and a shotgun.

The suspects were also said to have fired a warning shot towards a wall inside the premises before fleeing through the basement parking area. — Bernama
