GOMBAK, July 29 — Perikatan Nasional (PN) candidates vying for state assembly seats in Gombak have arrived at the nomination centre.

Clad in a dark blue Baju Melayu, Datuk Seri Azmin Ali, who will be contesting the Hulu Kelang seat, marched towards the nomination centre here at SMK Sungai Pusu.

Alongside Azmin were his state election compatriots Hilman Idham and Hanif Jamaluddin who will stand for election in Gombak Setia and Sungai Tua respectively.

They were accompanied by coalition chairman, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

In a show of support, about 700 PN supporters marched behind the candidates.

The men are expected to enter the centre at 9am to submit their nomination forms.

The Election Commission (EC) has set August 12 as the polling date for the state elections in Selangor, Kedah, Penang, Kelantan, Terengganu and Negeri Sembilan as well as the Kuala Terengganu by-election.
