KUALA LUMPUR, June 7 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim congratulated the Malaysian contingent for successfully achieving their 33-gold-medal target at the 2023 Asean Para Games (APG).
"With three days left before the closing ceremony (on Friday), I believe our athletes will continue to show excellent performances in Cambodia,” he said in a post on Twitter last night.
The 33rd gold medal was contributed by the solid pairing of Chee Chaoming-Brady Chin in the men’s table tennis doubles event (class 9 — mild balance disorders) after defeating the Filipino pair Linard Combras — Benedicto Hernandez at the Pingpong Hall, Morodok Techo National Stadium in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. — Bernama
