KUALA LUMPUR, April 30 — The government has agreed to continue the construction of the Changlun Mosque in Kedah with an additional allocation of RM3.07 million, taking the total cost of the project to RM5.77 million.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said the project would be implemented as soon as possible for the benefit of the local community.
"The unity government is concerned and committed to ensuring balanced development in all states of the country,” he said in a statement today.
Anwar also reiterated that the unity government had never sidelined any state for the sake of the people’s welfare.
"This is the commitment of the unity government in shouldering the responsibility by placing the people’s rights as the main pillar,” said Anwar, who is also Finance Minister. — Bernama
