KAJANG, Jan 3 — The Pakatan Harapan (PH) presidential council will meet this Saturday to talk about several matters including the upcoming six state elections.

Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, who is PH secretary-general, said a post-mortem of the 15th general election (GE15) is also on the agenda.

"I rarely comment on political issues, but I just want to say that on January 7, the presidential council will meet, and I believe it will likely discuss that (cooperation between Barisan Nasional and PH in the state election).

"Among others, it will include the GE15 post-mortem, and it will focus on the state election of the six states which will likely to take place in less than six months’ time,” Saifuddin told reporters after his work visit to the Prison Department Headquarters here.

He was responding to reporters’ questions on DAP chairman Lim Guan Eng’s remarks yesterday on the likelihood of DAP and BN working as team in the coming state election.

Lim had said with the setting up of the unity government at the federal level, DAP and BN would partake in a similar collaboration at the state level, just like in Perak and Pahang.

The six state elections were halted by the respective state governments during GE15 as a precaution to focus on flood relief efforts.
