KUALA LUMPUR, October 21 — Kedah Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor scoffed at the Barisan Nasional’s ambition of snagging 10 out of 15 parliamentary seats in the PAS-led state at the November 19 general election.
The PAS election director pointed out that the BN was able to take only two federal seats in 2018 — Baling and Padang Terap, Berita Harian reported today.
"Anyone who wants to contest in the election can say anything. How many seats they want. In reality, on polling day, it is the people who will make a choice.
"We will know the results that night. The day after, we will know if we can laugh or cry,” Muhammad Sanusi was quoted saying.
He was responding to news reports of BN chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi’s belief that the Umno-led coalition would be able to sweep eight more federal seats in the 15th general election and had set up a task force to ensure it achieved its target of 10 seats total.
