KOTA KINABALU, Oct 17 — Kuamut assemblyman Datuk Masiung Banah today clarified that Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) government led by its chairman Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor still has his full and undivided support.

While refuting the allegation that he had left GRS, Masiung said it was really an absurd allegation as he had been the one and only independent assemblyman who supported Hajiji’s leadership.

"How is it possible for me to leave GRS when I am not even a member of any component party in the coalition? I am just a GRS-friendly assemblyman,” he said in a statement here today.

Yesterday, it went viral on social media that Masiung would be the next to leave GRS after Bandau assemblyman Datuk Wetrom Bahanda.
