KUALA LUMPUR, July 26 — Malaysia recorded 14,516 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, having hit a record high of 17,045 cases yesterday.
The places with the highest number of cases today are Selangor with 6,508 cases, followed by Johor at 1,449 cases, Kuala Lumpur at 1,425 cases and Kedah at 1,160 cases.
Combined, these three states and the national capital account for 10,542 or about 72 per cent of Malaysia’s cases today.
The remaining new Covid-19 cases today were recorded in Sabah (720 cases), Perak (590), Negri Sembilan (452), Penang (402), Pahang (386), Melaka (373), Sarawak (356), Kelantan (346), Terengganu (245), Putrajaya (94), Labuan (eight) and Perlis (two).
With the latest infections, Malaysia has so far recorded 1,027,954 Covid-19 cases since the pandemic started.
Malaysia crossed the one million mark yesterday in terms of cumulative recorded Covid-19 cases.
