The one in Melaka was categorised as a high-risk group infection traced back to a dialysis centre in Masjid Tanah.

Including today’s data, there have now been 920 clusters since the coronavirus broke out nationwide, of which 461 remain active.

In Selangor, the new Persiaran Puteri construction site, Subang Baru engineering and Mahkota industry clusters have contributed to 64 new cases in the past 24 hours.

Another notable cluster is Senai City Lapan which saw 118 Covid-19 cases out of the 318 individuals screened at a factory located in Kulai, Johor.

While workplaces remain high-risk locations, and in today’s press briefing, Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah also revealed that interstate travel has contributed to the formation of infection clusters nationwide.

For example, Dr Noor Hisham stated that since December 31, 2020, 31 clusters in Kelantan originated from interstate travel while 91 per cent of 3,438 cases in Pahang to date were also traced to such incidences.
