Of the 970 new infections today, 318 or 32.8 per cent came from existing clusters in Negri Sembilan.

"This is followed by Sabah which recorded 293 cases (30.2 per cent) and Selangor which recorded 115 cases (11.9 per cent). The rise of cases in Negri Sembilan is mainly due to the Bakti Cluster which recorded 301 case,” he said.

Dr Noor Hisham also reported four more deaths related to Covid-19, bringing the country’s death toll to 345.

Currently, Malaysia has 12,971 active Covid-19 cases, with 110 individuals being treated in intensive care wards, out of which 47 requires ventilator support.
