PEKAN, Aug 15 — The Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, attended a luncheon at Istana Abu Bakar today after the presentation of Pahang state awards in conjunction with the 61st birthday of the Sultan of Pahang.

Al-Sultan Abdullah and the Raja Permaisuri Agong, Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah who arrived at Dewan Mulia Istana at 12.20pm, were accompanied by Pahang Regent Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah Al-Sultan Abdullah.

At the event, His Majesty was presented with "pulut kuning” by Tengku Panglima Raja Tengku Amir Nasser Ibrahim Shah Al-Sultan Abdullah and later received a gift from the state government which was presented by Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail.  

The luncheon was held after the investiture ceremony which was graced by Tengku Hassanal who presented awards to 56 recipients including eight children of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong. 

Tengku Arif Bendahara Tengku Muhammad Iskandar Ri’ayatuddin Shah Al-Sultan Abdullah led the list of recipients of the Sri Sultan Ahmad Shah Pahang (SSAP) award, which carries the title ‘Datuk Seri’.

Thhose who also received the SSAP award were his brother, Tengku Panglima Raja Tengku Amir Nasser Ibrahim Shah, and sister, Tengku Puteri Raja Tengku Puteri Iman Afzan.

The other five children — Tengku Panglima Muda Tengku Ahmad Ismail Mu’adzam Shah, Tengku Puteri Raja Tengku Puteri Ilisha Ameera, Tengku Puteri Raja Tengku Puteri Ilyana, Tengku Puteri Raja Tengku Puteri Afzan Aminah Hafidzatullah and Tengku Puteri Raja Tengku Puteri Jihan Azizah ‘Athiyatullah — received the Sri Indera Mahkota Pahang (SIMP) award, which carries the title ‘Datuk Indera’. 

Meanwhile, Environment and Water Minister Datuk Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man and 15 other individuals also received the SSAP award. 

They were Federal Court Judge Datuk Hasnah Mohammed Hashim, Amara Investment Management Sdn Bhd managing director Datuk Johan Tazrin Hamid Ngo, Bharat Group managing director Datuk Vinod Kumar Agarwal, Defence Ministry secretary-general Datuk Muez Abd Aziz and Employees Provident Fund (EPF) Board chairman Tan Sri Ahmad Badri Mohd Zahir. 

Other recipients were Customs director-general Datuk Abdul Latif Abdul Kadir, Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) director-general Datuk Mohammad Hamdan Wahid, Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission deputy chief commissioner (Prevention) Datuk Shamshun Baharin Mohd Jamil, Bukit Aman Management director Datuk Abd Rahim Jaafar and Pahang Police chief Datuk Abd Jalil Hassan.

Ri-Yaz Group managing director Datuk Mohammed Shaheen Shah Mohd Sidek, Marmaz Group Holding group chief executive Datuk Marajoh Unding, JRK Holdings Berhad executive chairman Datuk Kwan Aik Khai, Jadeline Exchange Sdn Bhd managing director Jajakhan Kader Gani and Bergamo Design (M) Sdn Bhd managing director K. Vijayendren. 

The Sultan of Pahang also consented the conferment of the SIMP award to three other recipients, namely the husband of Tengku Puteri Iman Afzan, Tengku Abu Bakar Ahmad Tengku Arif Bendahara Tengku Abdullah, Comptroller of the Royal Household of Istana Negara Datuk Ahmad Fadil Shamsuddin and former Health deputy director-general Datuk Dr Shahnaz Murad. 

The Darjah Sultan Ahmad Shah Pahang (DSAP) which carries the title ‘Datuk’ was conferred to eight individuals, including Gading Sari Plantation Sdn Bhd director Tengku Rizal Razak Tengku Ibrahim, Pahang Local Government and Housing Committee chairman Abd Rahim Muda, and Pengurusan Pasir Pahang Berhad chief executive officer Lt Col (Rtd) Nor Hashim Abdul Aziz. 

Also receiving the DSAP award were Gleneagles Hospital consultant cardiologist Dr Nik Halmey Nik Zainal Abidin, Persada Prospek Sdn Bhd executive chairman Abdul Murshidin Peer Bux, and law practitioner Wang Ming Way. 

Sixteen people were conferred the Darjah Indera Mahkota Pahang (DIMP) which also carries the title ‘Datuk’, including three escorts of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong namely Brig-Gen Zahari Mohd Ariffin of the Army, Brig-Gen Mohamed Zahari Yahya of the Royal Malaysian Air Force and SAC Yahaya Othman of the Royal Malaysia Police.

Other recipients of the DIMP award were JBPM Operation Division director Nor Hisham Mohammad, Deputy Mufti of Pahang Abdul Zaki Md Zain, Naval Base assistant chief of staff (Operation and Strategy) Rear Admiral Roslan Mohd Yunus, Bukit Aman CID D5 (prosecution and legal division) principal assistant director SAC Rusdi Mohd Isa, Prime Minister’s escort SAC Yusni Mohd Jamil and DBKL Landscape and Recreation Development Department director Suhana Abd Malek. 

Also receiving the DIMP were Kumpulan Tanah Makmur Berhad chief operating officer Shahrul Nizam Abdul Aziz, Borneo Natural Stone Sdn Bhd executive chairman Mohd Ishak Ayub,  Secretary to Al-Sultan Abdullah, Rosina Othman, Galaxy Aerospace (M) Sdn Bhd managing director Shamsul Kamar Samsudin, Pahang MIC deputy chairman K.Muniandy, SB Logistics Sdn Bhd director Mok Chuang Kiang and retired teacher, Ahmad Wahid. 

The Setia Ahmad Shah Pahang (SAP) and Setia Mahkota Pahang (SMP) awards were conferred to two and three recipients, respectively.— Bernama
