SEREMBAN, Aug 15 — The post-mortem on Nora Quoirin did not find any signs of injuries or violence on her body and concluded that she likely died around four days before she was found, Negri Sembilan police chief Datuk Mohamad Mat Yusop said today.

During a press conference to announce the results of the medical examination from yesterday, he said there were signs she suffered intestinal bleeding but this was likely due to stress and having gone without food for days.

"There were no signs of rape.

"There are no suspicions of foul play, there were no signs of kidnapping or abduction,” he emphasised.

The state police chief said the time of death was likely no more than four days before she was found.

When asked if the cause of death concluded from yesterday’s post-mortem was starvation, he confirmed this.

"Yes, she starved.

"In the report the cause of death is written as gastrointestinal bleeding due to duodenal ulcer,” he added.

Mohamad said: "There were some scratches and light wounds found on her leg. However, that did not point towards the cause of her death.

"Several samples from Nora Anne’s body have been sent to the Chemistry Department to analyse for a more detailed post-mortem result,” he added.

He added that the Quoirins may now claim her body at any time but said they have yet to make preparations to do so.

"The family is allowed to claim Nora Anne’s remains at any time and there are no restrictions for them to leave the country,” he said.

Mohamad once again added that authorities from France, England and Ireland are working closely with the investigation.

On claims by a Twitter user that Nora Anne was raped by Orang Asli, since her body was found naked, Mohamad denied the claims.

"We have already made a police report and identified the owner of the Twitter account, investigations is underway” he said.

15-years-old Nora’s body was discovered yesterday just 2km from the resort, in an area that police said was previously covered by searchers.

Nora and her family had arrived in Malaysia on August 3 for a two-week holiday and checked in at The Dusun. The following morning, Nora Anne was found to be missing, a large window on the ground floor of the guesthouse they were staying in left open.
