KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 23 — Families of the still-missing Malaysia Airlines (MAS) Flight MH370 repeated their demand today that the national carrier release the aircraft’s full cargo manifest, saying its continued refusal to do so suggests a possible conspiracy in the investigation.

In a statement here, Voice370, a group representing a number of families of those aboard the ill-fated jetliner, pointed out that the cargo manifest released on May 1 along with the preliminary investigation report had been incomplete.

“We only know that there was 4,566kg of mangosteens shipped by Poh Seng Kian and a consignment of Lithium Batteries.”

“After more than seven months of agony, we don’t want to be further tortured daily by the uncertainties surrounding the disappearance of MH370,” Voice370 said in the statement.

Citing MAS, Voice370 said that the 2,453kg of cargo from NNR Logistics included 221kg of lithium iron batteries, which the remaining 2,232kg worth of cargo aboard MH370 were simply declared as radio accessories and chargers.

The preliminary report, the group noted, suggested that a number of forwarding firms had consignments on the Boeing 777 aircraft, including Kerry Logistic’s 2,250kg, Kintetsu Express’s 646kg, Panalpina’s 32kg and Malaysian Express’s 6kg.

Pointing out that beyond this, no further information on the shipments has never been made public, Voice370 demanded that MAS reveal the detailed contents and quantities of the cargo in each of the consolidated airway bills, as well as a load instruction sheet on how the cargo holds were loaded.

“We believe that at this juncture, the release of this information cannot in anyway change what had already transpired onboard MH370 nor alter the fate of this aircraft and our loved ones onboard.

“Therefore we strongly believe that the continued withholding of this detailed information has no basis unless there actually is a conspiracy to hide information from the public domain, with a conscious and concerted effort to ensure the truth cannot be ascertained,” the group said.

Flight MH370 disappeared en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing on March 8, carrying 239 people on board including 12 crew members.
