Malaysian couple in Sweden to know fate end of month

KUALA LUMPUR, March 8 — The decision of the trial of the Malaysian couple in Sweden is expected to be announced two weeks after the last day of trial, which falls on March 14.

Chairman of Volunteer Lawyers For All (Sukaguam) Datuk Khairul Anwar Rahmat said the prosecution will call ten witnesses to testify on Monday.

“Several witnesses will give evidence on Wednesday, including those who have direct bearing with the family and several referred by their children during interrogation.

“Witnesses expected to be called by both sides include their school friends, teachers, social service personnel and neighbours,” he said in an email to Bernama here tonight.

The trial of Tourism Malaysia officer Azizul Raheem and Shalwati Norshal began on February 18. — Bernama
