KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 28 — After nine days of search and rescue (SAR) operations at the Batang Kali landslide site, two K9 dogs were treated to an overdue grooming session.
The four-legged heroes from the rescue unit got their fur trimmed by their Bomba handlers via a 35-second snippet shared on TikTok by user @ipie_ngaranku.
The two canines named Geoffrey and Grouse were seen on their best behaviour as their handlers pampered them.
The TikTok post has been viewed over 400,000 times and garnered over 30,000 likes since it was shared on Monday (Dec 26).
Social media users applauded the canines heroes while some were relieved to see the ‘good boys’ being taken care of after the long week they’ve had.

"Absolutely in love with all these little heroes. Have a good rest okay and thank you,” added user @Wardah.

The Batang Kali SAR operations involved 10 dogs from the dog tracker unit along with personnel from the fire and rescue department, the armed forces, Civil Defence Force and Special Malaysia Disaster Assistance and Rescue Team.
A total of 92 victims were involved in the incident that occurred on December 16, which saw 61 survivors.
