KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 24 — TGV Cinemas recently announced their partnership with Mattel Continental Asia for the first ever kids’ themed cinema — TGV Junior powered by Hot Wheels.

This is the first-of-its-kind partnership in Malaysia for both the cinema chain and Mattel, resulting in an all-in-one experience for families. It is the place where audiences can enjoy all of Mattel’s iconic brands such as Barbie, Hot Wheels, Thomas & Friends and Mega Bloks under one roof.

The TGV Junior powered by Hot Wheels hall combines movies and play for the ultimate viewing experience.

Families can enjoy 30 minutes’ access to City Of Play prior to movie screenings, where kids can indulge in various fun activities including a super-sized Hot Wheels Track Builder Challenge, Mega Bloks giant board, a life-size UNO Flip Board and a Barbie Corner.

The City of Play connects directly to the dedicated kids’ cinema hall specially fitted with kid’s seats, a Barbie and Thomas & Friends camping zone as well as an in-cinema slide for optimum fun catered for both young and old. This experience allows the parents to sit back, relax and enjoy the show while the children play freely.

The hall and play zone will also be available for public sessions as well as private events, such as birthday parties in the future.

"At TGV, we are about helping families create joyful memories together,” said TGV Cinemas CEO Tan Lay Han.

"We are delighted to be partnering with a global leader like Mattel to bring this unique experience to Malaysia! It is yet another example of how TGV continues to innovate and improve to excite movie-goers,” Tan added.

"We’re happy to collaborate with TGV cinemas on the new themed concept as it provides kids with a unique space to play, explore and be creative,” said Mattel South Asia general manager Murat Ariksoy.

"We are continuously looking for new ways to empower the next generation to explore the wonder of childhood and this partnership gives kids the best of play and cinematic experience,” Ariksoy added.

The news arrives in time for the year-end school holidays. Parents can now bring their kids to enjoy family blockbuster movies such as Mechamato Movie, Puss In Boots: The Last Wish and Lyle Lyle Crocodile.

The TGV Junior powered by Hot Wheels hall is available exclusively at TGV One Utama.
