KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 19 — London-based Malaysian surgeon Dr Nur Amalina Che Bakri has safely given birth to her first-born baby girl at St Thomas Hospital in Central London.
The 34-year-old took to Instagram to introduce her one-week-old daughter, Arabella Mia to the public.
In the post, Amalina also shared a few snippets of her and her little bundle of joy.
"We would like to introduce our beautiful princess, Arabella Mia, born last week at St. Thomas' Hospital.
"We adore her and cherish every moment with our little bundle of joy. We are excited to see what the future holds, Alhamdulillah. Lots of love - Amalina & Alex,” she wrote in the post.
Her post has garnered over 100,000 likes with over 3,000 comments from her followers congratulating her on her newborn.
Previously, Amalina was in the limelight after announcing that her first-born child will have British citizenship via her Instagram Story.
The surgeon further clarified in a separate Instagram post that she and her husband, Alexander Charles, are both living and working in the UK and the decision for their first born’s British citizenship was due to their commitments there.
She added that the mixed culture will give her children a colourful life and she would raise her children to understand Malaysian, Islamic values as well as teaching them the Malay language as well.
"At the end of the day, it doesn't matter where they live or what passport they hold; what matters is that they are human beings with good moral values who can contribute to humanity,” Amalina wrote in the post.
Amalina tied the knot with Charles in a short ceremony at the Central London Mosque back on March 31 last year.
