MILAN, Feb 20 — Italian fashion brand Roberto Cavalli has opened its first store in Iran.
According to a report by Women’s Wear Daily, the label, now controlled by new owner Italian private equity firm Clessidra Sgr, has opened a 3,780-square-foot, two-level boutique on North Alef Street in Tehran’s elegant Zafaraniyeh area.
Fans of the brand can look forward to perusing the women’s and men’s clothing lines, as well as its gym, junior, eyewear and home collections amid a lavish décor that includes floors made of large slabs of dark brown quartzite mixed with crystal dust, dark brown pony hair carpets and backlit crystal displays.
Renato Semerari, chief executive officer of the Italian group, told WWD that following the lifting of sanctions “the Iranian market is going through a new exciting period, and luxury brands such as Cavalli are looking at the country and its 80 millions of potential consumers with great attention.”
Semerari also underscored the group’s confidence in the region.
“We think that Iran is set to become a very interesting market for luxury products, and we are happy to be among the first to open a monobrand in Tehran,” he continued to the industry website. “For us it is a great chance to export also to this country Cavalli’s high-quality fashion, recognised and appreciated all over the world.”
