NEW YORK, Dec 11 — It’s time for another round of 100 years of beauty videos from the team at Cut Video, and this time, they look to the Land of the Rising Sun.

Japan is one of hottest places for fashion in the world, and in this video, we watch as model Mei Kurahashi is transformed by doing her hair, makeup, and adding accessories to fit every decade from the 1910s to today — including the Harajuku styles of the 1990s, 2000s, and 2010s.

It’s interesting to note how much Western fashion and beauty has had a tremendous influence over the years in Japan.
