LONDON, June 24 — To mark its Diamond Jubilee year, the Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts’ Club has managed to bring together a collection of over 1,000 contemporary and classic rollers and will be presenting them to the public this weekend.

The free event, held in the stunning grounds of Burghley House, in Stamford, Lincolnshire opens to the public on June 23 and will run all weekend. As well as being able to get up close and personal with Rolls-Royces representative of every year of the company’s history, visitors will be able to attend free seminars focused on various aspects of Rolls-Royce ownership and maintenance and to track down hard to find parts, pieces and services for keeping older cars on the road.

When the Enthusiasts’ club formed in 1957, it had just 11 members. Sixty years on it boasts 10,000, making it the biggest club of its kind in the world and, as such, Rolls-Royce itself is sponsoring and supporting this year’s show for the first time ever by providing experts and a showcase of its latest models including a selection of Ghosts, Wraiths and Dawns.

"We are delighted to be presenting contemporary Rolls-Royce motor cars at this spectacular event,” said Rolls-Royce’s global corporate communication manager, Andrew Ball, of the firm’s decision to get involved. "The Rolls‑Royce Enthusiasts’ Club is a vital custodian of our marque’s remarkable history, and events such as the Annual Concours and Rally serve to give the wider public close access to some of the most important and rare motor cars in automotive history.”

It is going to be a very busy summer for Rolls-Royce. As well as taking part in this year’s enthusiasts’ event, it is also curating a show of its own — The Great Eight Phantoms — that will open in London on July 27. It will see seven of the most important and valuable Phantoms ever built — sourced from museums and private collections around the world — and brought together in the same place for the first time in history in order to serve as a backdrop for the official global unveiling of the all-new Phantom Limousine. — AFP-Relaxnews
